Warning Signs of a Rodent Problem

Spotting these signs early can prevent serious damage and health risks

Droppings

Small, dark droppings (3-6mm for mice, 12-18mm for rats) around food sources, cupboards, or along walls.

Footprints & Tail Marks

Tracks and tail drag marks in dusty areas. You can check by sprinkling flour or talc overnight.

Scratching Sounds

Scratching, scurrying, or squeaking noises in walls, ceilings, or under floorboards, especially at night.

Grease Marks

Dark smear marks along walls and skirting boards from their oily fur rubbing against surfaces.

Gnaw Marks

Chewed wires, wood, plastic, or cardboard. Fresh gnaw marks are lighter in color and become darker over time.

Nests

Shredded paper, fabric, or insulation used to build nests in hidden, warm areas like behind appliances.
